Step 1 – Power Off and Unplug the TV
Always disconnect the TV from power to avoid electric shock.
Step 2 – Remove the Back Cover
Lay the TV face down on a soft surface. Unscrew and remove the back panel carefully.
Step 3 – Locate the T-Con Board
The T-Con board is usually positioned in the center-top area, connected to the main board and display panel via ribbon cables.
Step 4 – Disconnect Cables
Gently release the ribbon cables by flipping up the locking tabs. Also unplug any other connectors attached to the T-Con board.
Step 5 – Remove the Old T-Con Board
Unscrew the board from its mounting points and lift it out carefully.
Step 6 – Install the New T-Con Board
Place the new board in position, screw it in place, and reconnect all cables securely. Ensure ribbon cables are locked properly to avoid display issues.
Step 7 – Test the TV
Before putting the back cover on, power on the TV to check if the picture has been restored.
Step 8 – Reassemble
If the display is working fine, turn the TV off, replace the back cover, and screw it in.
Pro Tips:
-
Always match the part number on your old T-Con board with the new one.
-
Handle ribbon cables with care — damage can cause display issues.
-
If replacing the T-Con board doesn’t fix the problem, the issue could be with the main board or the display panel.
